We attended our very first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and loved every minute of it!! Such a special and magical night!!
We had done an early morning at Animal Kingdom and went back to our resort to rest. Then we hopped to Magic Kingdom around 2:30. We started with Castle photos and grabbed the Mickey Toy Soldier sipper at Cosmic Rays and red velvet donut at the popcorn cart by the castle. The red Velvet Donut was fabulous! Both the sipper and donut are available all day with regular tickets.
We then rode Buzz Lightyear and went to get our special Christmas Party bracelets in Tomorrowland along with the complimentary commemorative map and ornament. If you are entering the park at the front right at 4 pm and don’t receive your ornament right away, just be sure and go back to pick it up by 8 pm when they stop handing them out.
We rode a couple more rides in Adventureland and then went back to the front of the park to experience the special party street at the front of the park to see it “snowing” and see all the special festive fun. We saw angels on stilts and got to meet Gingerbread Men! Our wait for the gingerbread was around 15 minutes at 5:45 pm.
It also “snows” in Santa’s village area, so magical! You can meet Santa here andyou can get paper ornaments to decorate there even if you don’t meet Santa!
If you are wanting the speciality merchandise I do recommend heading to the Emporium right away as close to 4 as possible as some things sell out quickly. Star Traders does have some party merchandise, but it was limited at our party.
Starting at 7 pm or just before, There are five stations to get free cookies and hot cocoa, apple cider or egg nog (different cookies & drinks at each station). These are all marked on your special party map or just look for the big inflatable candy canes!
The special Christmas parade, castle show and Christmas fireworks were all so magical!! There are two parades and several times for the Mickey castle show. You can also see the special Holiday Frozen show at 6:15 or 8:15. We saw the 6:15 and went to ride Dumbo and the teacups before getting a parade spot. We went about an hour before parade time and scored a spot right on the curb between Main Street and the castle for the first parade, and it was still a great view!
We especially enjoyed the Club Tinsel Dance party with Chip, Dale, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps in Tomorrowland, definitely don’t miss it!!
We also got to meet some special characters that aren’t always out: Gingerbread men, Alice & White Rabbit, Polar Bears, and Scrooge with Minnie & friends.
God orchestrated our whole evening perfectly we were able to do all that with minimal wait!! We got in line for Minnie & Scrooge & friends at 11:40 and just waited 10 minutes! Then we ran and were able to get in line for Mine Train at 11:59 pm and got to ride one of the last rides of the night (just a 20 min wait too!)
So thankful to the Lord for this opportunity to go!! Special thanks to our incredible travel agent Ashely Evans who scored these tickets and planned an awesome trip for us!!!
