sgraves28 My husband Adam recently went on a business trip to Orlando and I told him he could go to Disney Springs without me on one condition, he had to take pictures and give me a review! Well he delivered, I think he might need to start writing for me on the blog!! Here’s his great review of The Polite Pig at Disney Springs:
Table for One at The Polite Pig: If you are at Disney Springs and you want some comfort food right out of the smoker, look no further. The Polite Pig will satisfy your cravings!
As I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with a long line of people waiting to order (😩😩😩). But, I soon realized there were (3) cashiers funneling the hoard of customers through the line. I was able to order in less than 10 minutes (not bad for Disney).
Since this was my first time at The Polite Pig, I stayed fairly conservative with my order: Polite Pork Shoulder (pulled) which comes with Signature Polite Slaw, Jalapeño Cornbread Muffin, and a “Market Side” (I chose the Polite Baked Beans).
After ordering, I got a sweet tea to drink and found a table. Whomever made the sweet tea tonight must be from up north because this southern boy wanted some more sugar in his drink.
After having a nice conversation with myself about ordering water from now on and looking at the rustic charm of the restaurant, I was surprised with my food being brought to my table within about 5-7 minutes of ordering…nice job!
The food looked great, and I was ready to dig in! But, first things first, my meal must have some sauce with it. Never fear, The Polite Pig has you covered with 4 sauces available: John’s Black Pepper, Layla’s Sweet Sauce, Thomas’ Southern Gold, and BBQ Ranch. I opted for Layla’s Sweet Sauce, and it did not disappoint.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my food tonight! The pork was tender and moist. The baked beans had a great smoky molasses flavor, and the slaw offered a nice balance to the meal. The jalapeño cornbread muffin tasted great too!
“The Polite Pig” was just what I was looking for tonight!…8 out of 10 stars!…🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
