Why you should try The MARA quick service at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Let’s have a moment for The Mara quick service at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! I never have high expectations for quick service meals at the resorts, but was pleasantly surprised by how good our meal was at the Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! 

The tomato and herbed ricotta flatbread was phenomenal!! I loved it so much that I got it again another night. 10/10

The barbecue pork sandwich was really good and full of flavor! And of course the fries were deliciously addictive. 8/10

I love that they have POG slushies! You can get them with or without alcohol. We got ours without and shared it as a family, and it was so refreshing and delicious. Like POG juice, but better!! 10/10

And the perfect ending to the meal was the raindrop tart. We were a little unsure of this one, but it really delivered! It’s a tart with vanilla cheesecake with chocolate sponge, and passionfruit jam. The textures were so perfect, creaminess with that little bit of crunch from the tart shell, and the flavors truly were a perfect combination…melting in your mouth delicious! 

Highly recommend checking out the Mara if you find yourself at Animal Kingdom Lodge without a reservation! It’s located on the bottom level, just off of the pool!
