Top 5 Nail Health Tips

Beauty Tip of the Week! The weather outside is frightful…making your hands dry and cracked! After being a Color Street Stylist for over 5 years, I’ve learned some vital things about nail health! So here are my top 5 Nail Health Tips to keep your hands and nails healthy and hydrated!

Tip #1: Hydrate! Drink lots of water, that helps your body overall but also your skin and your nails too!

Tip #2: Cuticle care: use a cuticle remover or cuticle oil to keep your cuticles soft and not cracked and also push them back before any nail polish application. I love our Color Street cuticle oil that is a non-greasy formula and instantly hydrates. I’ve seen my cuticles transform since using this!

Nail Polish Remover

Tip #3: Use a non acetone remover to remove your polish. Acetone is very drying and can cause your nails to peel. I personally love Color Street’s Non-Acetone Remover as its also nourishing to your nails. Another good option is mineral fusion. To remove my Color Street dry nail polish I soak a cotton square in the non-acetone remover, wrap my nails and cover with nail clips for 3-5 minutes and it wipes right off!

Tip #4: Your nail are your jewels, not your tools! Use scissors or tools to open things, wear cleaning gloves when cleaning, work or garden gloves when doing yard work to protect your nails and hands to prevent breaking and cracking.

Hand lotion

Tip #5: Use hand lotion to keep those hands hydrated! Color Street has an anti-aging unscented hand lotion that feels so luxurious on your hands!

Hope these Top 5 Nail Health tips help keep your hands and nails healthy! Always here to help with any of your beauty needs!
