We got snowed in for 8 days recently, which is super rare for where we live in Tennessee! It was a blast and thought I would share some snow day family fun ideas in case you might want to use them for your next snow day.

We started out the day with snowman pancakes, which are super easy to assemble with regular round pancakes, some whipped cream and m&m’s!

The kids did some “snow painting.” We put gel food coloring in a squeeze bottle, added water and shook them up to disperse. Then they had fun squirting the snow with the paint, writing their names etc.

We tried another version of snow painting with cookie cutters as their outline and they painted the inside. Water colors would work best but we just had acrylics and they worked pretty good as well.

Break out the beach toys, buckets and shovels and let the kids have fun building and digging!

And course we went sledding and tubing tons of times, and my husband Adam and I joined in too! Kids can’t have all the fun right?! The tubes were great because they offered us a buffer so it wasn’t so jarring to us 40 year olds haha! You can get these on Amazon here.

And we had to have some snow cream! Leave a large bowl outside before it starts snowing to catch the snow in it. Then once its full (you want about 8-10 cups), keep in the freezer until ready to make your Snow Cream. Add a can of sweetened condensed milk and a tsp of vanilla and stir together! Add or mix in toppings if desired and enjoy!

Hope these Winter Family Fun Ideas help you have Snow Much Fun!
