Here are my top 5 Tips for Disney Character Meet & Greets I’ve learned over several visits that really helped us to meet lots of characters and not take too long waiting in line!
#1: Check your My Disney Experience app for the character meet and greet times, Change the view at the top map to characters and then click show list and you will see the list of characters, click on each one and you will see the times. You will want to line up at least 10-15 minutes prior because they will cut the lines off if they get too long and then you have to come back later.
#2: Have those autograph books or other items to sign and pens/markers out and ready and open to where you want them to sign.
#3: Begin videoing/ photographing a little before they come over to capture them coming to greet your kids, some special magical moments there!
#4: Get in the photos with your kids too! Proof of parents!! The photo pass photographers or attendants will usually take your photo with your phones as well, so just ask! I usually have them take one in case the photo pass ones don’t turn out.
#5: Also take some individual photos of your kids and just you and your spouse with favorite characters!
Bonus Tip: Several meet & greets in the parks also have genie plus, so be sure and check those out and book those characters that are most important to you to save time in line! Mickey at Magic Kingdom and Ariel at her Grotto are two that are super popular and worth using genie plus for.
