Why You shouldn’t skip out on Disney’s Water Parks

Blizzard Beach

You definitely shouldn’t skip out on Disney’s Water Parks, Especially while they have the free ticket on check-in day deal when you stay on Disney property!! We went this spring and had a blast at Disney’s Blizzard Beach!

Disney's Blizzard Beach

Blizzard Beach has so many great slides and attractions for all levels: small thrills to super intese! My daughter, Sophie and I stuck to the medium ones while my son, Baylor and husband, Adam went all out! Baylor conquered Summit Plummet that shoots you straight down at 60 mph! He loved it and can’t stop talking about it!! There is also a Frozen themed area for littles and some smaller slides and an obstacle course as well.

Blizzard Beach

There is a chair lift to take you up to those medium and bigger slides but the lines do get pretty long. We rode once and then walked it the other times, which was a workout!

I definitely recommend wearing water shoes (these look like great ones for women, here’s an option for kids. I forgot ours and our feet were definitely feeling it by the end of the day. Also recommend a waterproof phone pouch too, easy to wear on the rides and take pictures throughout the day without getting your phone wet, This one is a great option!

The wave pool and lazy river were so relaxing and fun. The river goes around the park with multiple spots to hop out, so saves some walking! I also loved they had half raft options you could just sit in so i didn’t have to try and flop myself inside a tube!!

Our favorite ride of the day was the group raft ride, teamboat springs!! It has just the right amount of thrills, but easy enough on this momma, and something we could ride all together.

Blizzard Beach Food

The food was really good too! We enjoyed the nachos at Lottawatta Lodge, great flavors and the Guac was especially flavorful.

Blizzard Beach Joffrey's

We had a snack at Joffrey’s near the wave pool, the strawberry frozen lemonade and pink donut hit the spot!! The donut was perfect fresh and tender and the lemonade just the right balance of sweetness. Highly recommend!!

We had a blast and would definitely go back!  They also have another water park that is now open, Typhoon Lagoon. We may have to book another trip to get to try this one!
